Belongs within: Tephritidae.

The Acanthonevrini are generally pale-bodied tephritid flies lacking bristles on the pleuroterga and with ocellar bristles reduced or absent. They are varied in habits with several genera in the Oriental region associated with bamboo (Oosterbroek 1998).
