Belongs within: Calliphoridae.

The Ameniini are metallic-coloured blow flies whose larvae (where known) are parasites of snails.

Characters (Peris & González-Mora 2004): Coloration generally bright metallic green. Head with strong and defined facial crest between antennae. Parafacials naked. Thorax with distinct postscutellum. Prosternum hairy. Postalar wall setose. Metathoracic spiracle with bunch of long, robust setae on anterior operculum. Basal vein dorsally lacking setulae. Female lacking a telescopic, extendable ovipositor. Posterior tibiae with distinct pv apical spine.
