The Blenniini are a tribe of blennies with relatively unspecialised dentition and lacking a swimbladder (Bath 1977).

Characters (from Bath 1977): Dentition unspecialised; caudal fin rays branched; interopercular lacking a ventrocaudal spine; well-developed basisphenoid, intercalar and pterosphenoid present; two normal postcleithral; bifurcated posttemporal; supracleithrum articulating anteriorly only with posttemporal; five circumorbitals; swimbladder absent in adults.
