Cerambyx, the capricorn beetles, is a genus of large longicorn beetles characterised by long antennae with basal segments apically swollen, and distal segments flattened laterally and weakly carinate. The great capricorn C. cerdo is widespread across Europe but has significantly declined in recent years in the North of its range.
