Dendrobieae

The Dendrobieae are a diverse group of orchids characterised by flowers bearing naked pollinia, lacking caudicles or appendages, but with a prominent column foot. Roots have a uniformly thickened exodermis. Members of the subtribe Bulbophyllinae have stems forming pseudobulbs with a single thickened node (Freudenstein & Rasmussen 1999).
