Folsomia

Belongs within: Isotomidae.

Folsomia is a genus of isotomid springtails in which the last three abdominal segments are fused (Christiansen & Bellinger 1980).

Characters (from Christiansen & Bellinger 1980): Fourth antennal segment lacking end bulb, blunt sensory setae usually poorly differentiated. Postantennal organ usually present, often medially constricted or divided by central partition or listel. Last three abdominal segments fused. Anal spines absent. Tenaculum with 4+4 teeth, single seta on corpus. Furcula well-developed.
