Gondolellidae

Pa elements of Epigondolella abneptis, from Karádi (2021).

Belongs within: Prioniodinidae.
Contains: Neospathodus, Neogondolella.

The Gondolellidae are a lineage of conodonts known from the Late Carboniferous to the Triassic, including the latest-surviving of all conodonts (Sweet 1988).

Characters (from Sweet 1988): Skeletal apparatus basically seximembrate; Pa elements angulate; Pb and M elements breviform digyrate; symmetry-transition series including alate Sa elements with long, profusely denticulated posterior process; extensiform digyrate Sb elements; and bipennate Sc elements, commonly with long, delicate anterior and posterior processes.
