Reticulotubulus tintinnabulum, from Dumitrica & Zügel (2003).

Belongs within: Acropyramidoidea.

The Neosciadiocapsinae are a group of radiolarians with a helmet-shaped test known from the Cretaceous to the Eocene (Afanasieva et al. 2005).

Characters (from Afanasieva et al. 2005): Initial spicule with spines A, V, D, 2L, and 2l. Cephalis of type 2, usually with ventral tube and with horizontal or subhorizontal arc, subdividing its cavity into two parts. Test helmet-shaped with two or more segments.
