Contains: Actinomycetospora, Pseudonocardia, Amycolatopsis, Prauserella, Actinokineospora, Saccharopolyspora, Actinopolyspora, Lentzea, Saccharothrix.

The Pseudonocardiaceae are a morphologically diverse clade of actinobacteria, united by molecular data, that may or may not form an aerial mycelium.

Characters (from Nouioui et al. 2018): Cell-wall hydrolysates containing DL-A2pm as diaminoacid and galactose or arabinose as whole-cell sugars. PE or DPG, PC or PG and lyso-PG evident in polar-lipid patterns. Fatty acids composed of straight-chain saturated and monounsaturated and iso-and anteiso-branched compounds.
