Sphaerozetes is a genus of ceratozetid oribatid mites known from colder regions of the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

Characters (from Balogh & Balogh 1992): Rostrum with three apices; rostral setae inserted far anteriad on prodorsum; lamellae weakly converging, tapered, not reaching anteriad to level of insertion of rostral setae; translamella well developed, long, ribbon-shaped. Notogaster with ten pairs of setae; pteromorphae immovable; four pairs of areae porosae; areae porosae dorsosejugales minute; areae porosae Aa single, A1A3 circular. Six pairs of genital setae; one pair of aggenital setae; two pairs of anal setae; three pairs of adanal setae. Legs tridactyle.
