Theocotylinae

The Theocotylinae are a group of radiolarians known from the Cretaceous to the present (Afanasieva et al. 2005).

Characters (from Afanasieva et al. 2005): Two or three segments. Abdomen hyperbolised. Abdominal pores larger than on thorax. Thorax and abdomen separated by deep internal shelf and clear external constriction. Apical horn significant. Aperture elongated in tube or with three festoons.
