Belongs within: Nasellaria.
The Triospyrididae are a group of radiolarians known from the Paleocene to the present (Afanasieva et al. 2005).
Characters (from Afanasieva et al. 2005): Developed differentiation in direction of main heteropolar axis, approximately coinciding with directions of spine A and apical horn. Spines L and D similarly developed and more pronounced than spine l. External feet present. Ante- and postcephalic lobes of cephalis developed when sagittal ring enclosed in cephalis and not projecting to outside. Galear structures may be present.
